The Australian Museum
2009. Sign Design Society (UK).  Public Wayfinding Award Commendation.

The Australian Museum in Sydney is our oldest museum and composed of 5 connected wings built over time.

Understanding the museum layout and circulation paths is challenging for visitors. The new wayfinding sign system uses a system of photographic icons from each exhibit that are easy to understand and follow by all visitors.

Public staircases were also highlighted to incorporate wayfinding information to encourage greater use by visitors.
